On planes where the Source prevailed, life flourished; where The Void held power, there was nothing. In Rivellon, Seven Source powered Gods arose, one for each race -- Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Lizards, Orcs, and Imps -- and one for Wizards. But these races were often at war and The Void waited to destroy Rivellon. To protect Rivellon, the Seven gave a portion of their power to one mortal champion, The Divine. This champion was chosen from the Godwoken, mortals who are able to see and manipulate The Source. The latest Divine, a human named Lucian, defeated The Void, but later sacrificed his life, and most of Rivellon's Elves, using the Death Fog to kill his son Damian and the dark wizards of The Black Ring. Years have passed. A new Divine hasn't been chosen and Lucian's death has torn The Veil between Rivellon and The Void. Now, creatures called Voidwoken are attacking. Learning that Voidwoken are drawn to Source users, Lucian's son Alexandar and the Divine Order are rounding up Sourcerers, like you, to "cure" you of your powers. So guess what? It's up to you to learn the Voidwoken's terrifying secret and, you know, probably become that Divine person everyone keeps talking about.
